Our Junior AI Developer position is open, and this could be a great opportunity for you to join our team. This person will help build AI-powered features and internal tools that support our teams, improve workflows, and create better outcomes for clients. The role includes working with AI tools and APIs, preparing data, creating reusable prompts and workflows, writing clean code, and learning how to connect AI solutions with real business needs. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career who has strong programming fundamentals, curiosity, initiative, and interest in working in a startup-like environment where learning happens fast and ideas are welcome.


Scope of Responsibilities (What You’ll Do):

Discovery & Solution Design

  • Work with senior developers to understand business needs, technical requirements, and expected outcomes.
  • Help propose simple and testable solutions using AI tools, automation, rules, or existing systems.
  • Consider quality, speed, cost, and user experience when comparing possible approaches.
  • Ask good questions, identify risks early, and document what needs to be clarified before building.

Development & Quality

  • Build AI-powered features and internal tools, from data preparation and AI tool usage to business logic and product integration.
  • Create and maintain prompt templates, reusable workflows, and simple tools that help AI outputs become more consistent and useful.
  • Connect AI features with company knowledge, documents, or data when needed to support search, assistants, or automation.
  • Write clean, reliable code in Python and/or TypeScript/Node, following team standards.
  • Add tests, basic quality checks, and useful logs so the team can understand how features are working.

Evaluation, Safety & Iteration

  • Run small experiments with clear goals, compare results, and document learnings.
  • Review AI outputs with care, checking for accuracy, consistency, and usefulness.
  • Apply responsible AI practices under guidance, including protecting sensitive information, using safe inputs, and defining fallback options when something does not work as expected.
  • Keep records of key decisions, prompts, data sources, and changes so the team can understand and improve the solution over time.

Collaboration & Learning

  • Participate in code reviews and incorporate feedback from senior developers.
  • Work closely with Data/BI, product, and delivery teammates when a solution depends on data, reporting, or user-facing workflows.
  • Share progress clearly, raise blockers early, and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
  • Complete onboarding goals and maintain a steady learning plan to keep growing in AI, software development, and product thinking.


And you'll need:

  • A proactive attitude, strong sense of ownership, and willingness to learn fast.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
  • Curiosity, critical thinking, and an analytical, problem-solving mindset.
  • Ability to work well with others, ask good questions, and receive feedback with openness.
  • Interest in learning how AI can be applied to real business processes, internal tools, automation, eCommerce, and SaaS environments.

 

The icing on the cake:

  • Previous experience in software development, AI-related projects, technical support, helpdesk, or IT/project support roles.
  • Experience building, testing, or supporting AI-powered tools, automations, assistants, or internal workflows.
  • Exposure to eCommerce, business systems, or software platforms such as NetSuite, Shopify, BigCommerce, or similar.
  • Basic understanding of APIs, web integrations, or how different systems exchange information.
  • Basic SQL, data review, or log analysis skills to help investigate issues and understand how a solution is performing.
  • Personal, academic, freelance, or internship projects related to AI, automation, SaaS, or internal tools.
